Phnom Penh Sex Workers
Working with the NGO Women's Network for Unity (WNU), Young explored the lives of three sex workers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in early 2016. Each had their own stories and their own reasons for working in the industry, but a common thread ran through each one: they saw no better options to support their families and chose to work in the sex industry despite the risks which include violence from clients, the threat of arrest, detention and even rape by police, and the stigma the conservative Cambodian society attaches to sex work.
